Library Renovation

This project is a conceptualized facade redesign of the Pratt Institute Public Library. The repeating and alternating diamond geometries are carefully designed to be inhabitable work spaces for the students within. The stairs that lead from the third floor to the roof, burst through the module creating an external 'tear' of the facade. The first image is a wooden hand-made model depicting this. The second image is a hand-draft in pencil of the library floorplan with an interior section on the left and sectional axonometrics on the right.
